Meditation has been proven to be the most effective way to enhance focus and performance by building the prefrontal cortex. Exercise enhances willpower by the discipline required for consistent practice, as well as challenging the body to greater achievement in successive workouts. Deep, slow breathing calms the mind, the heart, and strengthens willpower, as does the discipline of consistently taking right action.

To further enhance your willpower, eliminate or reduce one-by-one willpower-sapping habits. Giving in to our lower urges ( TV, internet, video games, and porn; snacking and overeating; and chemical substance abuses) decreases consciousness and weakens willpower with each poor choice.
